Having a mountain range for the backdrop and the ocean view at the front, the architects of Olson Kundig Architects has built this house with seamless connection between indoors and outdoors, large expanses of glasses open the house to the views and natural lights. The modern exterior of this house boasts grey façade and flat roof. Built on a slope, the architects raised the house onto higher ground level, the same level as the rear making the front wall of the swimming pool visible at high level from the front. Inside, a living room with neutral palette has an unobstructed view of the ocean, and other rooms are also flooded with natural light thanks to the extensive glazing. This house also features a large dining table which can accommodate at least ten people, this dining table could be considered as a heritage in Asian tradition, a tradition of gathering with a large member of extended family/relatives in any available time.
