Modern Oceanfront Rental Villa in Punta Mita, Mexico – Casa El Destino

If you have a plan to let say, have a short vacation at the end of this year, a modern rental villa located in Punta Mita, the “Casa El Destino” could be a handsome destination. With Pacific Ocean view to the front and Sierra Madre Mountains for the background view from its location in the most northern point of Banderas Bay, or across Banderas Bay to Puerto Vallarta, this rental villa should be very relaxing. Here what you could get if you spend a few days there.

It is a relatively new villa built in 2008 by Possenbacher, the interior design was done by Barbara Page Interiors. It has 18.000 sq ft floor areas, not including the wonderful outdoor area with infinity pool, wet bar, outdoor dining area, ocean views, breezes and all the “mind pampering features.”

It has beautiful circular pool decorated with plants and flowers. It also has a wonderful large gazebo covered by traditional roof that looks and feels natural and relaxing. Actually, the interior design as a whole is natural, warmth and inviting too.

Anything you may find there is enchanting like the original wooden “headboard” for a bed, the purple decoration, the beautiful yet unusual ceiling for a bedroom, the curved design and even the blue curves in the kitchen and dining room. Punta Mita has pleasant climate in this winter (75 degree) although the cost for renting this modern villa is quite high, about $7,600-$11,000 per night but it has 7 bedrooms with 9 bathrooms, enough for your family.

Pavilion in the Park in Seattle with Sustainable Features

Sustainability is more than just utilizing renewable energy and sustainable materials, but the way the all those green features are used should be a consideration too. But for this “Pavilion in the Park” building from Seattle, the architect of Miller Hull has addressed the issue by designing a building that can be completely disassembled and transported into a new location, minimizing energy in building one and minimizing wastes in demolishing a building, a much better care for the overall impact for the environment. This approach awarded top honors in the Lifecycle Building Challenge (2007) which fortunately, hoped to address the issue of construction and deconstruction with minimal waste. The approach is by dividing the building into four separate modules, each can be transported and reassembled in a new location, and moreover, the owners can expand or reduce the building as needed.

pavilion in the park

So, although the size of this building is huge enough, 1000 sq meters (11,100 sq ft), the building should not impacting the environment as much as other buildings with the same size while at the same time satisfies the client’s request for an adaptable building which could be moved and reused throughout the region for a long period of time. This building, the “Pavilion in the Park” is located in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. It currently serves as an open plan exhibition center showcasing the neighborhood in which it is settled. Miller Hull

SmartPlayhouse – Creative Play Space for Children and Great Backyard Decoration Inspired by Architecture by David Lamolla

Architecture, once again, has gave art, function, meaning, and value to a space, but now in much, much smaller scale, much more playful or far less “serious.” Inspired by contemporary architecture, this SmartPlayhouse is the answer for architect David Lamolla Kristiansen, to deliver a modern play space, comfortable and safe for your daughter. The four version of the playhouse, Kyoto, Casaforum (the one with maple leafs), Hobikken (the one with brown color), Illinois, are unique spaces that promote creativity.

Their designs are somewhere between a real architecture and LEGO. Kyoto version, (the white one with sculptural ultra modern façade) was inspired by Japanese architecture Mikimoto while the Illinois version (the white one with glass walls and deck) is the reminiscent of the Farnsworth House by Mies, the SmartPlayhouse gives children the opportunity to experience modern architecture with its own scale.

playhouse

The playhouse can be assembled rapidly in 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on type, it requires a little experience in “DIY” and one other person to help you. You can also stacked the playhouse if you want, just like the one shown on one of the pictures. SmartPlayhouse. Via
