This prefab is equipped with recycled timber and other recycled materials, insulated glass and has a PV cells option. This prefab is available in two models, single story house (1755-sq feet) for $223,000 and a larger two stories house for about $500,000. The design of these prefabs is cozy and looks comfy. These prefabs have an open plan design. The two stories models have an inviting balcony.

Modern Prefab Home by HIVE Modular

This prefab was designed by HIVE Modular and has an area of 990-sq feet. This house is characterized by its slanted roof and the façade is made of fiber cement. This house features two bedrooms, kitchen, a living and dining room, and a bathroom. This prefab house is built with some eco-friendly features including efficient appliances, rainwater collecting system, FCS certified wood and local source for flooring. This prefab was designed with open concept, large windows are presented anywhere creating a bright interior.

Custom Prefab Home with Spacious Interior – The Sculptor 3 House

The name of this home is the “Sculptor 3 House” for two reasons, first is the owner of this home is a sculptor and this home is 3 stories. This custom prefab home boasts corrugated metal façade and large windows that face the valley, at the rear, this industrial style prefab home features the exposed steel beams which support the main structure. As most other prefabs, this home sits gently above many supporting columns which elevated the home above the ground. The interior design of this home may still preserves the industrial style, but the design as a whole comes “softer.” Some parts of the interior have wood flooring, and the clean, white walls. The rustic style of the exterior is only represented by the steel beams which support the entire building. The interiors are also bright due to the large windows and spacious due to the high ceilings, these designs, the large windows and the high ceilings are possible due to the vertical design of the home. “The entry space, twisting and torqued, dark, vertical, inward, is based on qualities of the owner's large clay pots, a few of which are visible at the base of the stairs,” according to the architects of Sander Architects. “From the inception of the project, the strength of these sculptural clay forms was a deep influence on the making of spaces within the house.” For this architecture firm, this 4.500-sq foot Santa Rosa, California home is one of their ‘Hybrid House’ designs, “part prefab, all custom.” Sander Architects. Modern Prefab with beautiful Courtyard – Anne Residence in Texas

The Austin based Bercy Chen Studio has built this prefab house which rated 3 out of 5 in the ”City of Austin Green Building Projects.” In this modern home design, the efficiencies of prefab are blended with the beauty of the design and its nature. Open design concept is the main theme there. Instead of using metal panels for the walls, the architects are using glasses for cladding material. There are two volumes of the house which are connected via a pebbled deck. This deck which spans from one volume’s roof to the second level entrance of the other volume is covered with tent giving a classic impression of being in a summer camp. Butterfly House in Thailand – Small Timber House with Butterfly Roof

This is a project located in Thailand and capable to accommodate 50 local children. This project's name is the “Soe Ker Tie Hias” or “butterfly Houses” referring to their flip-up roofs that open like a butterfly wing. These wings are designed to provide natural ventilation and to collect rainwater. These houses are made of prefabricated iron woods that were assembled on site. Another material is bamboo, which gives the house transparent look from the inside and outside. This project is finished in February 2009 and the architect was TYIN Tegnestue, a group of student architects. These houses are located in Noh Bo, Tak, Thailand. This project is a unique project, this is not a real housing for settlement but this project really gives those children a wonderful place to play. –Via
