Futuristic Prefab House Design with Sustainable Features

This home design is quite old, it was in display at a public exhibition for sustainable house design in Sydney, Australia. It was in 2008 but this futuristic prefab house is still inspiring so here we go. Designed by Xenian, the home features two unique volumes separated by a courtyard, and the home itself is clad with glass for each front side. And for the main feature, the sustainable feature, the home has rainwater harvesting system, LED lighting, passive ventilation and PV/solar cells embedded in the expansive panes of the front glasses which are making up the front façades. The prefab design itself also reduces site disruption when building the house while also reducing times in building the house. For the interior, it features minimalist design and neutral colors with wood accents, creating a warmth and comfy interior. With all of those futuristic design and advanced features, the architects named the house the “House of the Future.” Xenian.
