This house is located in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada and was built by architects at Kohn Shnier Architects. The clients’ request was a house that gives intimacy to the couple, the clients and provides space for up to 20 people, children and grandchildren. The architect designed the house with close arrangement of furniture which creates intimate feeling (like the dinner table and chairs) while providing spacious spaces as well (like the arrangement of the sofas). The location of the house is also the main consideration for the house’s design, the main level is clad in glass, especially at the lakefront side. The main bedroom in this house is also clad with glass providing an unobstructed view to the lake.
