Modern Narrow House Design on the Swiss Alps

There’s always an unidentified feeling for us when we see a nice house that is built in the middle of a serene landscape, including this one. This house is located in the historic castle town of Regensberg, on the eastern foothills of the Jura Mountains in the Swiss Alps. The interesting point which we highlighted here is its slim design. This house is only 9 meter wide at the bottom but its wide is much less at the vertical volume, but it is also long enough at its valley facing side. This modern house is really beautiful, the chic light cream façade is a great visual contrast to the lush green background behind. The light grey coloring near the windows and for the roof is really making the house cool and modern. Other feature that makes the house beautiful is its asymmetrical windows, the windows may look the same for both volumes, but they have some small differences making the overall proportion looks beautiful. At the slim sides, the windows are also arranged in zigzag formation, the sides are getting more unique with its pitched roof. At the rear side that facing the dirt street, the façade is nearly closed completely. Inside, this multi-family-house’s interior is done in neutral scheme and modern style. White dominates the interior’s colors, giving a sense of spaciousness while the darker color of the floor gives a strong accent that makes the interior cool. This house was designed by architects of L3P Architects. Thanks to Architektourist and Trendir.
