Why should live in a hectic town if in this house, everything is spacious and relaxing.? That’s the respond from the architects for the clients’ request for “a place where town life can be left behind.” So the architects of Arch11 built this house in a way that will satisfy the clients, a couple of professional rock climber. This house design would impress anyone with its size, shape and colors combination, the size is quite massive while the color combination of brown wood façade and stone walls is highlighting the impression of the massive volume. The architects also built this house in a close relationship with its surroundings in its location near Boulder, Colorado. Large windows and numerous outdoor areas are utilized to get the intimate relation. There’s a grand style living room with fireplace and glass walls that capture the majestic views, an impressive space in this house. In fact, there are many spacious and relaxing areas like the master bedroom with balcony and even the kitchen has unobstructed view to the mountain range or the floating staircase has glass balustrade and glass wall next to it, for a flawless view. Living in this house is just getting better than the hectic city with its spacious living areas. But before achieving all of those accomplishments, the architects of Arch11 had to deal with solar access restraint, height restrictions and irregular terrain. “As the entry opens to the living spaces the apertures transform in scale to reveal the expansive landscape in its entirety. At the southwest corner thirty feet of glass retracts into the walls, dissolving the boundary between the domestic and the wild; the living spaces are then bounded only by the uplifted cliffs beyond. Reciprocally, the native meadow to the west folds onto the garage roof providing easy outdoor access for visiting guests in the house’s guest suite.”
