This compact house design is quite interesting thank to unusual placement of the three 16 x 22 feet boxes. The boxes are stacked and rotated to shape this unusual profile. This house’s facade is finished in bright marine wood color and boasts the grain and its natural texture, giving a classic touch to the contemporary house design. These boxes seem that they are designed to provide privacy to the owners, there are only a few glass windows on it. The three levels of the house have their own distinct style. The first floor has marble for flooring while the other floors have wood, a lighter material for the same purpose. This house also has a beautiful stair and balustrades that lead the way up to the third floor. This XS House was designed by Chaewon Kim and Beat Schenk of design company UNI and is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
